hello there.
Hello, I’m Alexander, an aspiring graphic designer with a unique background in hospitality. i was raised in the fast-paced city of Raleigh, north Carolina, and currently call nc my home. i have always been a creative individual being raised by a nationally-famous bridge designer, and a graphic designer mother. however i never believed that i had "what it takes" to make it as an artist, and such after graduating high school and attending a bit of college i entered the workforce in luxury hospitality.

Over the past 5 years, I have honed exceptional customer service skills and developed a keen eye for detail through my experience working for: 3 five-star, five-diamond hotels. through this field i was able to travel to Colorado to work for the Little Nell in aspen, as well as it's sister property the residences at the little nell. i was there for 2 and half years and it was one of the best opportunities of my lifetime.

However, behind the scenes, I have always been passionate about graphic design and have acquired a wealth of knowledge and skills in the field on my own time. Despite never having had the opportunity to formally work as a graphic designer, I have taken every chance to self-study and explore the world of design as a hobby, with the disruption of the pandemic only increasing the amount of time spent learning the trade.
coming home & pursuing my dream:
after the pandemic began to wind down, i realized i wanted to pursue design full-time, and moved back to north Carolina to attend guilford technical community college, to acquire an associates degree in graphic design and advertising.
my next move...
I am now seeking to transition from the hospitality industry into a professional graphic design role where I can apply what I’ve learned so far and hone my craft full time. With a unique perspective gained from years of serving high-end clientele, I possess the ability to understand client needs and translate them into visually stunning designs that effectively communicate messages and evoke the desired emotional response.
